Sunday, April 16, 2006 Villa Martha, Nagcarlan, Laguna 3 Share We spent the Holy Week at Villa Martha in Nagcarlan, Laguna. It's been two years since we last visited the place and there has been a lot of improvements to date. We stayed at the biggest room that is part of the big building that was being constructed the last time we went here. Instead of just staying overnight, we ended up staying for 3 days and 2 nights! The place is quite known in the area because aside from swimming in their pools, guests can also wade in the stream. The resort doesn't use chlorinated water in the pools as their source of water is the stream. The water that flows there come from Mount Banahaw. A word of caution, though. The water can be freezing during the cool months and just cold during the summer. In fact, we did not buy ice to cool our bottles of beer anymore. My brother-in-law placed the bottles underwater and it's already ice cold after a few minutes! Thanks to ...

Thirteen Baptized in San Pablo City OBS Four men and nine women were baptized at Villa Martha Resort, Nagcarlan, Laguna in the morning of July 27, 2002. Shortly after baptism, they attended their first "devotional worship service" conducted for them by the WCG-San Pablo City pastoral team and leaders. Claro and Grace Ting, Tom Sotalbo, Ric Sayo, Arnel Dizon and Jane Dizon were on hand to welcome the newly baptized brothers and sisters in Christ. These 13 persons are part of the Outreach Bible Study (OBS) group in Sitio Bagong Silang, Brgy. San Nicolas, San Pablo City raised by Missionary/Church planter Arji Cruz and his wife, who also officiated the baptism of the 13 converted persons, namely; Paulo B. Andal, Richard M. Andal, Robert Allan Belina, Jesus Sapalaran, Catalina A. Arellano, Salome A. Arellano, Jennilyn P. Arellano, Odessa B. Bayan, Lucila E.Belen, Clarita A. Beliha, Anabel G. Belina, Teresita D.
